52 Weeks of Faith 9.9.18

Service was so good today!! Were you in there 2nd service for worship? Keep your commitment to come home or stay home! Home is Jesus. Home is the Word. Home is life with Him. Home is the best life ever!! Then, John 8:31-32, when you continue in the Word, you are free. Continue means take up residence. Residence=HOME! Take up residence with Him, be diligent and disciplined to make Him home every day, and every moment of your life.

Then, when Pastor Dean gave us the 6 things that will overcome little or weak faith, wow!  Here were the 6 things:

  1. Genuine time with Him
  2. Hearing the Word on purpose
  3. Remove distractions
  4. Refuse to allow words or thoughts contrary to His Word be in my life
  5. Don’t allow unforgiveness for any reason
  6. Don’t consider minimizing the power of words

I was definitely convicted by some of those 6 things and I’m going to endeavor this week to be intentional about doing them so my faith can grow!!  What about you? What was your high from service?

  1. I’m so thankful for Pastors Dean and Kathy! They are still faithfully preaching and teaching the uncompromised Word of God!

All 6 are growth points for me! If I had to pick just 1. I would say removing all distractions like PC talked about in JUMPSTART. Accomplishing all God has called us to do will require that we steward our time. I’m thankful we can follow our Pastors as they follow Jesus!

  2. I really liked that Pastor Dean pointed at that the Spirit of God had told him that unforgiveness keeps most people from winning. Faith won’t work in an unforgiving heart!

I really liked the question…If He loves me, then why don’t I love Him back?

I am inspired this week to give Him my best and allow faith to position me to receive all He has done for me 🙂

  3. Yesss! Second service was so good! Coming home to me means vulnerability…we are who we really are in the comfort and safety of our home. JESUS being my home means I can be real with Him and not be embarrassed about the “dirty laundry” because He sees it all and still chooses to dwell in me by His Spirit ❤️ But I really liked when PD said, “If you’re really hungry, it’s going to cost you something”! I refuse to settle for a cheap substitution of God’s blessings and endeavor to put to work these six points in my life so that I can enjoy the Master’s lap of luxury!

  4. Service was amazing!! As PD was talking about the Fathers love and the power behind it, I wrote this down, when you choose to walk in His love everything about you will change! Everything such as, the way you communicate, serve, view others, as well as situations, and your thoughts. When you put his love in everything there’s no room for the enemy and any other lies, because the father, with His love, has overcome it all! PD shared, “when you choose His love, you choose the word.” I then reflected that back to John 8:31-32; “If you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

I definitely will be more intentional when it comes to applying the fathers love into EVERYTHING that I do!

  5. My high from today’s message was number four, not letting words or thoughts contrary to His word in my life. He died so that i can have THE best life, if i allow wrong thoughts or words to linger and not take them captive or speak life then whatever i meditate on is what i’ll get!! What is better than to allow HIS words and HIS thoughts about me be what i meditate on? Nothing!

  6. My high from the service was when Pastor Dean said the church is supposed to step away and take off the world and to put on a righteous life. I think sometimes as Christians we can forget that we need to set an example for the world and we can’t be constantly acting just like they do.
